CalHR is pleased to offer Workforce Planning and Succession Management Programs in order to guide organizations through the development or improvement of a comprehensive workforce plan and/or succession plan that satisfies CalHR's policy requirements. Our programs are unique in that we use a hybrid approach of workshop-based learning and one-on-one consultative support for participating organizations.

In addition to the Participant(s) and Executive Sponsor, the Workforce Planning Program will also require the role of a:
Human Resources (HR) Champion – An employee in your organization's Human Resources area with accessibility to workforce data such as turnover and employee demographics, and ensures continuity of the workforce plan ownership.
Assess your organization's readiness prior to completing registration in order to help ensure successful completion of our programs. Consider the following:
Does your organization have a current and operational strategic plan?
Does your organization have the resources to dedicate a Participant, up to 60 percent, for completing this effort?
Does your organization have access to its workforce data?
Does your organization have executive support for workforce planning and succession management?
If you answered yes to all of the questions above, your organization is ready to participate in our programs!
