Policy Memos or PMLs are information,policy, and procedures sent from CalHR to State HR professionals.

Pay Letters are used to notify SCO and other agencies about changes to the California State Civil Service Pay Scales. Classification changes adopted by the State Personnel Board cannot be implemented until they’re included in a pay letter and processed by SCO. Only State HR professionals can sign up to receive automatic pay letter updates.
