As called for in Governor's Reorganizational Plan Number One and in line with the California Department of Human Resources' Strategic Plan the Personnel Management Division (PMD) is currently looking at civil service classifications that have been vacant for more than 24 months for possible abolishment. In this effort, PMD is working with state departments, labor organizations and the State Personnel Board (SPB).
