Lean Six Sigma is a highly-effective process improvement methodology that is designed to produce significant results using a data-driven, focused approach to an organization’s problems. The goal of the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program is to develop practitioners of this methodology who will have the capabilities needed to drive process improvement efforts in their organizations.
This is a very rigorous program intended for personnel who are exceptional performers in the workplace and have a strong interest in improving processes. Each Green Belt candidate will work with their leadership to identify an improvement project that will be the focus of their certification efforts. A cross-functional project team will also be identified; the Green Belt will lead this team through the Lean Six Sigma methodology in order to successfully identify the root causes of the process problems and implement the corresponding solutions.
If you are interested in participating or would like one of your staff to participate in the program, please send an email to CalHR Statewide Training with the name and e-mail address of the Green Belt candidate along with the name and e-mail address of the approving manager.
If the employee and their project are approved, CalHR will then follow up with the official enrollment links and information.
The class is limited to 24 participants and will be first-come-first-served in determining who gets into the program (the class typically fills up relatively quickly). We will be keeping an interest list for future cohorts based off applications submitted.
We are working on transitioning this program to a self-paced program. Information regarding this program will be made available soon.
This program is on Hiatus until we get the Lean White belt program back online. We appreciate your understanding.
CalHR does not currently offer a LEAN Black Belt Certification Program.
