Under direction, at a satellite wagering facility, admit and direct vehicles to the parking areas, and do other related work.
Satellite Wagering Facility Parking Attendants perform duties at a facility which is required per Business and Professions Code 19596.14, to enter into a labor agreement with the labor organization which has represented the same class at the nearest horse racing meeting.
Directs incoming traffic into appropriate areas or spaces; in facilities which charge for parking, makes money transactions, checks passes, and keeps simple records; and lays out appropriate cones or barriers. Provides directions or information to the public.
Experience: Three months of experience as a parking attendant in public event facilities or related areas involving public contact.
Knowledge of: Methods for maintaining records of monies received.
Ability to: Speak, read, and write English at a level required for successful job performance; understand and carry out oral and written directions; evaluate situations accurately and take effective action; provide accurate and clear information; establish and maintain cooperative relationships with the public; stand for prolonged periods.
Willingness to work at night.
