Key Note Speaker
Dr. Dacia P. Hastings
With over 15 years of experience as a public speaker, including international speaking experience, Dr. Dacia P. Hastings also known as The Talk Dr., is a proven leader in the areas of public speaking, leadership and management, coaching, consulting, counseling, and psychotherapy. She holds a doctorate degree in Management and Organizational Leadership. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts and her Master degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York City. She is also a licensed Psychotherapist, in private practice in Washington, DC and Maryland.
Dr. Hastings' professional experiences has been in the areas of work life and wellness programs, organizational consultation, research, ethics, higher education, leadership and management, professional development, staff development training, teambuilding, organizational effectiveness, executive and life coaching, curriculum development, motivational and keynote speaking, program evaluation, psychotherapy, employee assistance program (EAP), work life and wellness, child welfare, clinical assessments and interpretation, mental health and wellness, substance abuse, EAP counseling, HIV/AIDS, and social work.

Total Worker Well-being
This presentation will feature a keynote session from Dr. Dacia P. Hastings, also known as The Talk Dr. She is a leader in the areas of work life and wellness programs, leadership and management, coaching, consulting, counseling, and psychotherapy. Her keynote will focus on the total worker paradigm to assist us with understanding how employees may be feeling and how to work through those feelings. The CalHR Statewide Engagement Program and Magellan Health will follow this keynote with a walkthrough of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Statewide Wellness Program and Merit Award Program services, tools and resources available to support and promote employee wellness.
Safety in the Workplace
This presentation will focus on common injuries in an office environment, how to prevent them, safety considerations, and how to effectively setup workspaces. A walkthrough of available resources will also be provided.
