The California Department of Human Resources is hosting a virtual conference with live sessions on March 11, 2021. This California Leads conference provides an opportunity for state Equal Employment Opportunity, Human Resources and Labor Relations staff to learn about regulations, best practices and innovative tools to develop a strong workforce. Highlights of the conference includes keynote speakers from 34 Strong on Finding Your Certainty Anchors in Times of Uncertainty and EAP Magellan Health on Bouncing Forward in 2021. All live sessions will be closed captioned. The virtual platform containing resources and other pre-recorded videos will be available at any time during March 11-March 19, 2021.
The California Leads conference agenda (PowerPoint Presentations) will be a full-day of learning opportunities. CalHR and SPB staff will be delivering the presentations. Use the session descriptions as a guide to sign up for specific sessions. Live sessions will not be recorded.
Luncheon keynote speaker Darren Virassammy will speak about “Finding Your Certainty Anchors in Times of Uncertainty."
David Burden, the
closing keynote speaker, will talk about Bouncing Forward in 2021.

The first 500 employees to register will receive a complimentary e-book titled Uncertainty: Turning Fear and Doubt into Fuel for Brilliance. The March 11 conference registration is now open. This second day live session on Psychological Evaluations of Peace Officers will be on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 10:00-12:00. Please complete this form and send to email@example.com. Live sessions will not be recorded, but but PowerPoint Presentations are available to view through the conference agenda (PowerPoint Presentations) webpage. Registrants will be required to attest that they are directly involved in the hiring of peace officers. Registrants are subject to approval by CalHR.
