What if we haven’t started our workforce and succession plans?What if we haven’t started our workforce and succession plans?<p>​If your organization hasn’t started either plan you can begin by using the tools and resources located on the <a href="/state-hr-professionals/Pages/workforce-planning.aspx">Statewide Workforce Planning webpage</a>, including the <a href="/state-hr-professionals/Pages/state-of-california-workforce-planning-model.aspx/">State of California Workforce Planning Model</a>, and the <a href="/state-hr-professionals/Pages/State-of-California-Succession-Planning-Model.aspx">State of California Succession Planning Model</a>. Additionally, we are piloting a new workforce planning cohort based training program whereby organizations will graduate with a workforce plan for their organization. Will CalHR review and/or audit our workforce and succession plans?Will CalHR review and/or audit our workforce and succession plans?<p>​We do not currently audit plans, but we do review them to ensure minimum requirements have been met. To view the minimum requirements for plans refer to the <a href="http://hrmanual.calhr.ca.gov/Home/ManualItem/2901">Workforce and Succession Plans Requirements Policy</a>.</p>

How does CalHR define a completed plan?How does CalHR define a completed plan?<p>​A completed plan meets the minimum requirements defined in the <a href="http://hrmanual.calhr.ca.gov/Home/ManualItem/2901">Workforce and Succession Plan Requirements Policy</a>.</p>
Will CalHR share our plan with others?Will CalHR share our plan with others?<p>​Plans are not shared publically unless we have permission from your organization. Sharing your organization’s workforce plan adds tremendous value and support for statewide efforts, offering an example that other organizations can learn from.</p>
