Organizational Change Management
What is it?
OCM helps individuals, teams, and organizations move from where they are now (current state) to where they need or want to be (desired future state). While change will happen with or without managing it, applying intentional OCM practices can:
- Increase the likelihood of successful outcomes, timely project delivery, and strong business continuity;
- Strengthen engagement and increase adoption of the change;
- Foster a culture of adaptability and resilience;
- Support role clarity;
- Sustain desired outcomes.
Elements of OCM
Most change models share many core elements as listed below. Each link will take you to a quick overview of the element, its benefits, simple practices to manage change, and additional resources.
Element 1: Understanding and Defining Change
Element 2: Assessing Readiness for Change
Element 4: Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
