The Benefits Administration Training Class is intended s for new staff responsible for administering state employee benefits. The class provides an overview of numerous benefit programs through scenario based classroom training.

Participants will learn and understand the fundamentals of health, dental, vision, retiree vision, CoBen, FlexElect reimbursement accounts, health and dental cash options, common carrier insurance, group term life insurance, long-term disability, retirement processing, and COBRA.

There is no cost to attend this class. You must go through your department's training request process to obtain the necessary approvals to attend class on State time. If you do not attend class or send a substitute, you will be charged a “no-show” fee of $350. However, there is no “no show” fee for webcast training. If you are not able to attend the class for which you have registered, please e-mail your cancellation request to firstname.lastname@example.org two weeks prior to the registered class. When sending a substitute, be sure to send someone based on the description as noted under the “Intended Audience”
