IT Mainframe Non-Traditional Apprenticeship Program

​The IT Mainframe Non-Traditional Apprenticeship Program provides state employees at participating departments with the instruction, training and expertise to qualify for the Information Technology Associate classification exam. The program is up to two years in duration and is comprised of on-the-job training (OJT) and college instruction. Apprentice’s OJT tasks can include upgrading hardware and software, installing operating systems, and maintaining systems software on the mainframe. ​
