Phase 4 - Implement Strategies
This phase ensures the workforce plan can be executed effectively. By following these steps, you can successfully implement your workforce strategies and ensure sustained engagement and accountability across your organization.
Steps
- Follow the Action Plan
Implement the action plan developed in Phase 3 and track your progress. Ensure accountability by establishing governance for the plan’s progress and performance. - Develop a Communication Plan
Create a plan to raise awareness of the workforce plan, share progress with leadership, employees, and stakeholders and maintain engagement. Tailor messages to align with desired outcomes and select the right communication methods (e.g., emails, meetings, videos). - Identify How and When to Evaluate the Workforce and Succession Management Plans
Work with leaders to identify a formal process and timeline to evaluate the plans’ effectiveness for accomplishing planned outcomes using key performance indicators. Make sure the plans include information about the timeline and method for evaluating the plans.
