Who is CNLP?
Our Mission
The mission of CNLP is to serve as an alliance of learning professionals collaboratively networking to provide the California civil service state employee workforce with effective and timely learning solutions.
Our Members
CNLP members consist of California civil service state employees who specialize and perform duties in the field of learning and development.
If you are a California civil service state Learning and Development employee, the CNLP recommends you join the California Trainers ListServ and request access to the CNLP Teams Site.
With access to the CNLP Teams Channel you can collaborate with other professionals, post and find job openings, and see archived Forums. Click on the blue box to request access and subscribe below.

Once you have received your invitation to the Teams Site, please follow the steps below to access via Google Chrome or the Microsoft (MS) Teams Application:
Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome and enter the MS Teams link (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/log-in) into the URL
- Log into your MS Account using your department credentials (please follow any authentication protocols)
- Open Teams and click on your name icon on the right-hand side of the screen
- Toggle to the California Department of Human Resources department by selecting it from the dropdown options
- To return to your department’s MS Team channel, select your name icon on the right-hand side of the screen and select your department
MS Teams App
- Open MS Teams application
- Select your department’s name in the upper right-hand corner (to the right of the search box)
- Click on California Department of Human Resources
- Please follow any authentication protocols
- To return to your department’s MS Team channel, select your name icon on the right-hand side of the screen and select your department

CNLP Quarterly Forums & Special Interest Groups Events
For a Full List of Upcoming Events, log into the CNLP TEAMS site.
If you are in need of a Reasonable Accommodation for these events, please email CalHR Statewide training at trainingmailbox@calhr.ca.gov. We request a minimum of three (3) weeks’ notice for Reasonable Accommodation requests, and will do our best to accommodate students within the three (3) week window. Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
The purpose of the CNLP SIGs is to provide a networking forum for people that share an interest in a particular topic related to learning and professional development. Additionally, SIGs allow members to collaborate with a focused network of professionals outside of the quarterly CNLP Forums.

The eLearning SIG is intended to help members design, develop, and implement instruction in online settings and integrate with existing platforms such as LMS systems, SharePoint sites, and other hosting platforms.
Leadership

The Leadership SIG explores topics for leadership development and provides resources and best practices to share within your departments.
Attendance is encouraged for anyone interested in professional growth in leadership development.
