California Leadership Academy - Executive Development Program

Overview

This exciting new executive education program is designed to meet the 20 hour training needs of newly appointed Career Executive Assignment (CEA or equivalent). Please read our updated course description below.

Serving the diverse and ever changing needs of California citizens requires innovative thinking, team building, and incredible leadership. The California Executive Development Program develops innovative executives to deliver exceptional results to California. By the end of this program you will be able to apply critical skills to lead divisions, build a resilient culture, lead change effectively, and develop the states most important resource: our people.

Innovative Executives

Throughout the Executive Development Program, CEAs will be partnered with both an accountability partner and a CEA mentor. California Leadership Academy’s Executive Development Program cohorts are designed for the busy executive in mind. Our immersive approach ensures that executives not only learn from a lesson plan but from the experience of others. Together, we ensure that our executives are able to meet 21st century challenges and succeed in our rapidly evolving leadership environment.

Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a strategic mindset by creating strategic visions for the division.
  • Utilize best practices to practice risk intelligence and decision making.
  • Build strong networks.
  • Enhance leadership communication.
  • Lead strategic change initiatives.
  • Develop and empower staff through leadership, trust, and personal development.
  • Create an innovative culture to meet the demands of a changing workforce.

Please Note

Day 1, 3 and 4 will be completed via an interactive webinar.

Day 2 and 5 will take place in person in the Sacramento Region.
