Overview 

The course is the recommended starting point for analysts wishing to improve their analytical skills. The course is an introduction, or in some cases a re-introduction, to a problem solving method, various critical thinking tools, and the process of sound decision making. Using actual government-based research problems, participants in this class will learn to organize and analyze data and use problem solving techniques and tools.

Objectives 

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Organize and analyze data using actual government-based research problems
  • Apply problem-solving techniques and tools
  • Discuss various research strategies utilizing the internet
  • Develop a project plan that contains outcomes and deliverables

Intended Audience

This course is an excellent refresher for experienced analysts. Analysts new to their positions will also benefit from the systematic and logical approaches to analytical work presented in this class.
