​Salary and Benefit Resolution, May 11, 2015

WHEREAS, the California Citizens Compensation Commission was established by the voters' passage of Proposition 112 on June 5, 1990; and
 
WHEREAS, Proposition 112 directs the Commission to establish the annual salary and the medical, dental, insurance and other similar benefits for the State's elected officers; and
 
WHEREAS, Proposition 112 directs the Commission to consider specified criteria in establishing these salaries and benefits, including the compensation received by other elected and appointed officials in California, and the judiciary; be it
 
RESOLVED, that effective December 7, 2015, the annual salaries and benefits for State officers shall be as follows:
 
  1. The current annual salaries for State officers shall be:

  2. State officers shall continue to be eligible for health benefits under the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act, with the same State contributions toward monthly premiums that are made for State employees who are designated managerial under Section 18801.1 of the Government Code.
     
  3. State officers other than members of the Legislature shall continue to be eligible for the dental, vision, life insurance, and employee assistance programs that are provided to State employees who are designated managerial under Section 18801.1 of the Government Code, with the same State contributions toward monthly premiums that are  made for these State managerial employees. State Officers other than members of the Legislature shall continue to be eligible for legal services, flexible benefits, long-term care, long term disability, and deferred compensation programs at their own expense.  These programs have no State contribution and none shall be made for these State officers, except as authorized by the Commission. 
     
  4. Members of the Legislature shall continue to be eligible for their dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, and employee assistance programs, with the same State contributions toward monthly premiums made for State employees who are designated managerial under Section 18801.1 of the Government Code. The types and levels of benefits provided by these programs shall remain substantially the same. Members of the Legislature shall continue to be eligible for legal services, long-term disability, flexible benefits, long-term care, and deferred compensation programs at their own expense.  These programs have no State contribution and none shall be made for these State officers, except as authorized by the Commission.
