Session Overview

It is staff’s responsibility to research the details, analyze findings, prioritize and categorize, choose the one alternative and make a recommendation based on sound reasoning, decision making and judgment. Completed Staff Work is an important concept that demonstrates accountability and responsibility.  Having a working understanding of Completed Staff work allows you to be more efficient and adds value to the agency.

 

By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Define completed staff work and discuss the origin and importance
  • Highlight aspects of analytical work and review roles and responsibilities
  • Explore steps within the Completed Staff Work process (CSW)
  • Discuss strategies for problem solving and decision making
  • Provide tools and resources
