Work Sample and Performance Tests

Overview

This one-day course will provide participants with an understanding of the uses and applications of work sample and performance tests. Topics include the development, scoring, assessor/rater training, and the practical and logistical issues related to the administration of work sample and performance tests. Various testing formats will be covered, including in-basket exercises, written and oral exercises, role-play exercises and physical performances tests.

Objective

Participants will gain a foundation in the principles and techniques used to develop legally defensible work sample and performance examinations. Upon successful completion of this class, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the use and application of work samples and performance tests
  • Review various types of work samples and performance tests
  • Identify the administration issues concerning the different types of work samples and performance test.
  • Develop and apply scoring methods and models applicable to work samples and performance tests
  • Develop work samples and performance tests

Personnel analysts, managers, or individuals responsible for the development of employment testing and selection programs.

$145 per participant
