Forum Outline

Please join Employee Assistance Program Coordinators from across the State for the Forum. This annual event is your opportunity to network with other EAP Coordinators, learn about current behavioral health care trends, and gain new knowledge, skills and tools that will help you become even more effective in your valuable role as your department's EAP Coordinator. We've taken the feedback from last year's participants to bring you an even more exciting Forum this year. While we'll be covering many topics, the major theme of this year's event is managing stress. Here are some highlights:
  • Building Resilience Through Mastering Change And Managing Stress
This course is designed to show employees of the State of California how to "bounce forward" from circumstances that have taken them by surprise and upset their outlook on their career and home life. This program focuses on creating environments where organizational members can do their best work despite ongoing changes and stresses. Their individual work styles are considered crucial in developing new strategies for success.
  • EAP Roundtable Discussion
This facilitated group discussion will be our opportunity to exchange success stories and generate ideas that we'll be able to apply to our roles as EAP Coordinators.
  • Managing Personal and Employee Stress
Managers, supervisors, and leaders have an added responsibility to minimize and respond to the concerns or distress of employees. This workshop will focus on techniques for assisting employees with workplace stress, and also discuss the leadership role in enhancing stress resilience.
